I would really like to know how many ferries or other big ships Greece has. It is amazing to see in Piraeus, the main port of Athens, the amount of passenger ferries, cruisers, flying dolphins, huge catamarans,….

Today we are not in Piraeus but in Lavrio, a very small port at the tip of the Athenian peninsula. For those who hate Piraeus, this is the answer. Some ferries leaving for the Cycladic Islands depart from here and it’s much more quiet and organised. We are boarding a ferry to Kea, the closest Cycladic Island to the mainland. Just one hour of ferry time. easy!
