Ivo Torre from Rifugio Belvedere has probably the biggest grappa collection in Italy. “This restaurant used to be just a small bar serving only grappa and panini” he says with cherry red cheaks and a smirking smile on his face. “Now we serve lots of food, many drinks but of course still grappa, house made.” Ivo gets the assitance of his family who cooks and serves classic Dolomiti food to the skiing crowd. When we ask him what his specialty is, Ivo says hamburgers. “And doing the PR.” replies his daughter.
