Excited! First day of our long trip to South-America, together with my Nikon1. First, we will explore the Easter Islands, then Peru and after that we will board a ship, which will take us from Equador to Panama, Colombia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Curacao and then Venezuela. And no, we are not flying back to Europe. We are crossing the Atlantic on that same ship, while Le Boreal is repositioning from South-America to the Med.

But first we are here on board KLM to fly to Lima. And who would think that the Dutch like Belgian food? Even high up in the air? We have  12 hours to enjoy the classic but comfortable business class and yes some very good inflight food. KLM asked 3-star Michelin chef Peter Goossens from ‘t Hof van Cleve to come up with a new menu for their business class passengers. And, personally, we think he did a very good job. The food in combination with the china and cutlery designed by Marcel Wanders give the inflight catering of KLM a very classy look & taste! It’s the perfect meal to eat before arriving in Lima, voted the culinary capital of South-America.
