Very rarely you come across hotels where almost everything is perfect. Take for example hotel Signum on Salina. You feel right away that owner Clara Rametta and her family know what hospitality is all about.
The intimate luxury hotel is well hidden in the village of Malfa. It’s a collection of small dwellings with 30 rooms and suites, a panoramic bar and gourmet restaurant, intimate swimming pool and a sexy spa.

What we loved? That in the month of May Clara offers fine prices so guest can enjoy low season without breaking the bank. That Clara picks her staff very well and people like Izabella at the front desk and Raffaelo at the bar run the hotel in a very professional way. That Clara’s son Luca Caruso takes also very good care of every customer, in a gentile way.

We loved also the renovated rooms where doors swing open and white curtains play with the wind and let the sounds and smells of the Med come in. I am talking about lemon trees, jasmine flowers and swallows that come drink from the pool…

And finally the views. Wauw. It reminded us a bit of the terrace of Il San Pietro Hotel in Positano because prime locations like this are exceptional. While having a very nice aperitivo (love the collection of local beers and finely selected wines), you can see Stromboli and Panarea in the distance.
A picture perfect moment in a very charming hotel. We will be back one day.
