I love to lounge. Serious lounging, like being stuck in an airport for almost half a day and escaping to a world of comfort and style. So thanks to our SAS EuroBonus Gold Card we had the chance to check out many Star Alliance Lounges around the world, from Lufthansa’s Senator Lounge in Frankfurt to the United Gold Card lounge in Chicaco. But to be honnest, I still like the lounges at the homebase of SAS: Scandinavia. They are not overly fancy or stuffy, not too businessy or nor too many bad suits. The one in Oslo is light, clean and cosy with high tables and chair, lots of plugs for laptops, good food and wine. Nice magazines like Wallpaper* (next time Monocle?) and newspapers (Love the Scanorama Portfolio magazine of SAS, the first inflight magazine that is also on sale at newsstands). A secret tip for those traveling through Scandinavia (Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo), you can now access all SAS-lounges for 27 euro per person. Believe me, if you are stuck for a couple of hours, or your flight is delayed, this is a great bargain.
