In the old days, women were not allowed to enter through the main entrance of the Bulawayo Club. Ahhh, the good old days, I hear some men thinking. But emancipation changed also colonial Africa and the Bulawayo Club is now also open to us ladies. First of all, Bulawayo is a pleasant small city, an excellent stop between lets say Matopos National Park and Hwange National Park. It’s a relaxing stop to overnight in this colonial hotel that has completely been renovated by the Amalinada Collection. We got room one, a great suite with access to the terrace on the top floor. The club also serves excellent and affordable lunches and diners while seated in the inner-courtyard. A sortie jazz tunes in the air.
