A remote part of Alentejo, although Portuguese know their way here, foreigners don’t. Carrasquieras is this windy, small village with white and blue houses, old people walking in the street, dogs all over the place and this pallafite port…. Just when we arrived around noon, a fish seller put some big boxes of calamar in his truck, completely covered in ink. It’s small scale fishing, the one that is still ok. So I hope.
