Some villages on Fogo Island look like a collection of Lego houses. Bright coloured or peacefully white and most of them with views over the frozen Atlantic. Some of these wooden, traditional folk houses are sometimes referred to as salt boxes, build in the 19th or beginning of the 20th century by the settlers.
