We wrote about this hotel in 2006 for Elle Belgium when glamping was hot and new and Aman-i-Khas was the most beautiful example of how tents can look sexy and be more comfortable than a standard hotel room. Aman-i-Khas is still sexy and amazing, even after all these years. There are no tents we ever stayed in (except for maybe Jack’s Camp in Botswana), which look this grand, this spacious and bright. More than 100 square meter of space, almost 6 meters in height, with a comfortable bed and bathroom and fitting, colonial decoration. The only thing the tents lack are maybe a bit of a view. The bush around the camp got thicker and bigger and embraced the tents so there are no more wide open spaces. Still, Aman-i-Khas is a stunning property near Ranthambhore, one of the most famous wildelife parks in India. The highlight is spotting tigers but staying here, in one of Aman-i-Khas’s tents is surely a climax too.
