The link between Asia and Europe measures around 193 kilometres. The Suez Canal opened in 1969, has no locks, is a single lane and exchanges salt water between the Med and the Red Sea. Along the boarders of the canal we spot a lot of military signs, guards with guns and camouflaged buildings. It looks kind of like a war zone, a dusty and hot place where you do not want to stay too long.
