Sailing away is like leaving the normal world behind. Today we board The World’s End, the biggest catamaran for the moment sailing in Greek waters. This beauty is waiting for us in the marina of Alimos, a stone’s throw from the centre of Athens. Thanks to our friend Barbara from FYLY Yachting, we are able to hop along on this catamaran. She runs one of the best charter and yachting companies in the med (with the best captains) and manages also the World’s End, which is a Galathea 65 of almost 10 by 20 meters. Our crew is awaiting us with some ouzo and mezede, in good, old Greek tradition, even on a flashy and modern boat. Capetan Makis Andreadis, chef Zeta Tyligada en crew member Nikos are here to bring us from Athens via the Peloponnese to Heraklion in Crete. Since we are the only guests on board, we get the huge master bedroom with comfy bathroom. Normally the World’s End can host 10 people in 5 bedrooms with ensuite bathroom but this time it’s just us and the crew. Oh, and the blue Mediterranean too, not to forgot.
